I really like both these designs as they demonstrate the several visual aspects of the font in a dynamic way, while including some information as well. I really like the shadow and depth created by different layers and shades in the first one. I do think these look really similar to other designs i've seen and to each other maybe a third design could really experiment with a theme of where it was used or created to build something completely different
